Meet Our Doctors
Dr. Vincent Smith was born in Kansas City, Kansas. He grew up in northern Virginia. He received his undergraduate degree in Biology and Microbiology from the University of Kansas and his Dental Degree in 1988 from the Medical College of Virginia. He received his Orthodontic and Masters of Science degrees in 1990 from the University of Detroit Mercy.
Dr. Smith is involved in numerous professional and community activities and lives in Fayetteville. He has been happily married for 23 years and has three handsome sons, Collin, Brendan and Austin. He enjoys snowboarding, biking, soccer, basketball and the beach, but his greatest joy is his family.
He has been known to ask his former patients in public places about their retainers, hopeful they are still wearing them. His goal is to give his patients the attention they deserve while providing excellent orthodontic results, everyday!
Dr. John D. Callahan grew up in the Strathmore area of Syracuse and later in Manlius, graduating from Christian Brothers Academy in 1972. He received his undergraduate degree from Notre Dame and earned a Doctorate of Dental Surgery from Georgetown University. In 1982, he received a post-doctoral degree in orthodontics from St. Louis University and returned to Syracuse to join his father's practice.
Dr. John is actively involved in strengthening the orthodontic profession. He is the current president of the Northeast Society of Orthodontics (NESO) through 2012, which includes New York, New England and the eastern Canadian provinces. On the national level, he is a member of the Council on Insurance for the American Association of Orthodontics (AAO).
Dr. John has been happily married since 1982 to Elet, a professor of law and public policy in the Whitman School of Management at Syracuse University. His son, Michael, attended Rochester Institute of Technology and is now an entrepreneur in the Rochester area. When Dr. John is not creating great smiles or working with NESO and the AAO, he can be found cheering at the Carrier Dome, playing golf or racquetball, scuba diving and enjoying the company of family and friends.
Dr. John truly loves what he does. "Our patients are great people, and our staff is terrific. We create healthy mouths and great smiles and have fun doing it."
Dr. Gregory J. Stock is a native of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. He received his undergraduate degree in Biomedical Engineering from Johns Hopkins University and his Doctorate of Dental Surgery from the University of Maryland Dental School. His orthodontic degree is from the University of Michigan. Dr. Stock is also a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics.
Dr. Stock is a member of the Onondaga County and Oswego County Dental Societies. He likes to keep current with recent advances in orthodontics, and his research on orthodontic treatment protocols was published in the November 2011 issue of the American Journal of Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics.
Dr. Stock and his wife, Anne, have been married since 2007. Anne grew up in Syracuse and is a former CFS patient! Dr. Stock is an avid football and hockey fan and enjoys rooting for all of the local Syracuse sports teams.
Meet Our Staff
I am a Certified Dental Assistant and have proudly been with CFS&S since 2006. I have been in the orthodontic field since 1999. There is nothing greater than seeing a patient's reaction when they get their braces off, and see their "new" smile for the first time! I enjoy the everyday interaction with our patients and watching their transformation from start to finish.
I have a beautiful middle school-aged daughter, who keeps me on my toes and is a current CFS&S patient! I am a huge Gonzaga Bulldogs and Boston Celtics fan, but also like watching other NCAA basketball and NFL games. I also enjoy going to the gym and relaxing with a good book every now and then:)
I am privileged and proud to be the office manager for this amazing group. I have been happily married for 33 years and I have two grown sons that are married. In my spare time I enjoy spending time with family and friends. I love music and enjoy all sports....especially hockey.
I have been a Lab Technician for Callahan,Flanagan,Smith & Stock Orthodontics for 14 years. A great part of my work here is being creative, fabricating all the different appliances utilized for our patients during various stages of their treatment. What is especially rewarding for me is helping our patients that are in the "waiting game" for implants by providing them a special retainer that gives them their full smile until implants are completed.
My creativity continues away from the office. My husband and I are still finishing up final touches on our home which we are building ourselves. I love spending time with my family and my kittens Cocco and Blu.
Hi, I'm Debbie: I have been with the CFS&S family for 6 years and counting. You may have had occasion to speak with me when I answer the phones in our Patient Care Center; or you may find me at one of our Front Desks in Fayetteville, North Syracuse or Fulton. (I fill in for the Front Desk girls when they are on vacation.) I enjoy interacting with our patients and their families while they are in the office.
I have been married for 23 years; I have 2 beautiful daughters and 2 wonderful grandchildren. I enjoy spending my free time with my family. I also enjoy swimming, walking on a beach, and working in my garden. As long as I'm in the sun and with my family I am HAPPY!
I'm a dental assistant and have worked for this wonderful CFS&S practice for 18 years. I love to see the patients getting their braces on for the first time and saying "WOW" I needed braces and at the end of treatment extremely happy with their teeth and now saying. "I look fabulous"!! I love being part of that. Their smiles and confidence is amazing. I'm married with three children. My two older children and myself have been through treatment with CFS&S, We all have beautiful, healthy smiles!
Hi! My name is Michelle and I am a Certified Dental Assistant. I graduated from BOCES in 2013 and worked six months in general dentistry before joining the CFS&S team later that year. Not only do I work here-but I receive treatment here too! Having braces myself helps me understand and explain to patients what is happening and what to expect.
I have two beautiful children who are 7 and 2. We enjoy going to the beach and hiking in the summer. I am an avid reader and enjoy discussing books with my patients!
My name is Rhonda and I live in Fulton New York and have worked for Callahan, Flanagan, Smith and Stock since the summer of 2012. I love my job for many reasons but mostly for being able to work with our wonderful patients and to help them create beautiful healthy smiles!
I am a NYS Registered Dental Assistant and have worked in the Orthodontic field since 2005. I enjoy assisting the doctors in creating beautiful healthy smiles. I love coming to work everyday and making the patients experience the best it can be. In my free time, I like to watch movies, read books, and crochet.
